Where Pupils Shine

Using Google Classroom and Other Useful Links for Home Learning

Here is our timetable for remote learners (years 2-6 will have an additional mastery reading task to complete between 8:30am and 9am). The yellow highlighting indicates live Google Meet lessons. In between lessons, teachers will remain on the Google Meet to offer support and feedback.

Tasks can be completed on printed sheets or can done straight into home learning books. Teachers will provide feedback on submitted work. This timetable matches our in-school offer.

Devices you can use:

You can access Google Classroom from a smart phone, tablet, laptop or PC.

You can even access Google Classroom from a games console (XBox One/PlayStation 4 or newer versions).

Live lessons and worksheets will be available on Google Classroom.

If you have access to a printer, you can print sheets. If not, children can view the sheets and complete work straight into their books.

You can send photographs of completed work to teachers. If this is a problem, teachers and support staff will be available to provide verbal feedback and support throughout the day.

We may be able to apply for additional mobile data or a mobile router. Please contact our office if you would like to discuss this.

Access Google Classroom from your games console

This is easier with a mouse/keyboard but it will without them.

Accessing Google Classroom from Apple Device

When trying to access Google Meets from an Apple device, you need to download the free 'Google Meet App' from the App Store.

Once you have done this, the 'Meet links' on Google Classroom should work.
