Where Pupils Shine
It’s my pleasure to warmly welcome you to Waterloo Primary School and Nursery – ‘Where Pupils Shine’!
Waterloo isn’t just a community school catering for children aged 2-11, it’s an inclusive family with a well-established supportive staff and leadership team - dedicated to putting your children at the heart of everything that we do and preparing them for life in the modern world.
Since September, the school has been proud to be part of the Mersey View Learning Trust and the six schools work really closely to provide the best for the children and families in the local area.
At WPS we value each child as an individual – supporting, challenging, encouraging and celebrating their achievements and growing independence both in and outside of school.
Our bespoke curriculum ensures that learning opportunities are meaningful and relevant and children explore this fully not just in the classroom, but by making full use of all that our incredible local area has to offer.
Our children embrace all aspects of school life recognising and valuing their role, as part of our Waterloo team. They are motivated, resilient, compassionate and able to use their voices expressively to actively support our culture of challenge, development and progression.
Whilst we promote academic rigour and high expectations this is equally prioritised alongside personal well-being and we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, supportive environment for all. We encourage all pupils to discover new passions, interests and experiences, whilst on their journey with us - exploring and growing every step of the way.
We look forward to showing you what we have to offer and giving you the biggest Waterloo welcome.
